More information: Following his departure from Pink Floyd in 1985, Roger Waters forged a bold solo career defined by unflinching political vision, theatrical ambition, and lyrical depth. His solo work, from The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking (1984) to Amused to Death (1992), reaffirmed his status as one of rock’s most articulate storytellers. Waters’ continued commitment to humanitarian causes and innovative live productions has earned him critical acclaim and sustained his devoted global fanbase in the post-Floyd era.

In the 2000s and 2010s, Waters experienced a powerful creative and touring resurgence. His monumental ‘In the Flesh’ and ‘Dark Side of the Moon Live’ tours drew massive audiences, while ‘The Wall Live’ became one of the highest-grossing tours of all time, combining breathtaking visuals with urgent social commentary. His 2017 album, Is This The Life We Really Want?, marked a return to studio form, delivering an introspective, politically charged work that resonated with a new generation of listeners.

Between ‘The Wall Live’ and Is This The Life…, Waters found time to deliver a headline set at the 2015 Newport Folk Festival. The show was a blending reimagined Pink Floyd classics with solo deep cuts in a uniquely intimate atmosphere. The set also featured a brand new track, ‘Crystal Clear Brooks’ - never before performed live - as well as a tribute to Bob Dylan’s infamous ‘electric’ appearance at the festival, closing with a cover of ‘Forever Young’. Backed by My Morning Jacket and featuring soulful harmonies from Amy Helm and Sara Watkins, Waters delivered a haunting, emotionally rich set, now captured on this CD in its entirety.
