More information: Rush’s 1993 release Counterparts, released in October, reached No.2 on the US Billboard Chart. The album reverted back to the band’s guitar based sound, dropping the synth-led style they had experimented with in the late 1980s. Rush supported Counterparts with a four-month tour, playing dates arranged in United States and Canada, which kicked off January 22, 1994 at the Civic Center in Pensacola, Florida, and culminated on May 7 at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto.
One of the very best shows played during the tour was the one they played at Dane County Coliseum in Madison, Wisconsin on 2nd April. Recorded for live FM Radio Broadcast, it featured a fine set-list with both new tracks from the recent albums and a host of classics.
Previously unreleased on disc, the full concert is now finally available on this new 2CD set, providing many Rush fans an opportunity to hear this extraordinary mid-90s performance for the first time.
