More information: Rocking Horse Music Club returns in 2025 with The Last Pink Glow: An Interpretation of Jack Kerouac's The Haunted Life, featuring special guest Tony Banks (Genesis).
An eclectic, genre-defying album, blending symphonic progressive rock with elements of americana, blues, electronic, and orchestral music, The Last Pink Glow embraces darker and more aggressive moments than previous RHMC albums, but still retains the sense of drama and strong focus on melody that has become the band’s trademark.
Tony Banks co-wrote and performs on the song The Haunted Life.
Written and recorded at Rocking Horse Studio throughout 2024, with additional recording at Abbey Road and Angel studios in London. The band worked directly with the Jack Kerouac Estate to write this album, often using extracts from Kerouac’s unfinished novella The Haunted Life as lyrics. As one of America’s most influential writers, Jack Kerouac has made a particularly profound impression on generations of musicians; John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Syd Barrett, David Bowie, Van Morrison, Fish and members of the Doors and King Crimson have cited the author as a primary influence on their writing and philosophical outlook.
CD in 4-panel digipak with 12-page booklet.
